We have a high turnover of guest beers from your favourite name breweries and smaller breweries including those nearby in our local brewing scene, often only bought a keg at a time. We like to keep things fresh! Variety is the spice of life so we always keep the following beers available in some tasty shape or form.
You will always find a Pale Ale or an IPA available here at Things Happen Here. The Godfather of craft beer. Pale ales are hop forward with a more balanced hop to malt ratio, leading to a beer with a big backbone and a sweeter finish. We always have a session pale ale available (mid ABV 3-5%) AND a higher ABV (6%+) to satisfy all tastes.
India Pale Ales are stronger and hoppier brother of a Pale Ale. IPA’s tend to have a bitter bite with a drier finish and usually hold a higher ABV. The style has recently evolved to give us New England variations (NEPA & NEIPA). Usually found full of citrusy yumminess. We keep excellent IPAs in our fridges and usually on tap.
We always aim to keep a low ABV beer on our taps. Low ABV beers are exciting too!
Alcohol Free Beer is no longer an afterthought, there are breweries who now only brew Alcohol Free beer, and it’s delicious! We want a taproom that caters for all, and if you don’t drink or don’t fancy a drink, we’ve got you covered.
Sour Beer is the oldest type of beer in history. Made by spontaneous fermentation or modern souring techniques, a sour delivers a lip smacking tartness. Sour beer is often fruity and stretches across a spectrum of sourness, it can tingle your tongue or it can make your eyes water. Interesting and refreshing.
A dark heavy-bodied guy. Renowned for their often heavy coffee notes and balanced bitternes. We like the exciting, experimental stouts here, ranging in ABV.
We have a line dedicated to those beers that you have seen but never committed to. We want you to broaden your beer horizons, step out of your comfort zone and get weird with us. Go on, ask us for the weird shit.
